Before the investigation began, we were given a talk and a quick tour of the building. After a quick briefing, and an introduction to the new team members, the investigation began at 10pm.
10.00pm-10.30pm - Room 1 1st floor
No activity reported in this room
10.30pm-11.00pm Room 2 and 3 1st floor
Splitting into 2 teams, we covered the adjacent rooms, but no activity was reported.
11.00pm-11.30pm 2nd Floor master bedroom
A standing seance was performed by the whole team. Effects reported were cold spots and strange shapes appearing on the wall. As we were quite near a main road, an explanation could be the reflection of car lights through the crack in the curtain. Cold spots were explained due to an unforseen open window. However, orbs were filmed in this room
11.30pm-0.00am Room 1, 2 and 3 2nd floor
As time was limited, we split into 3 teams and covered all rooms on the second floor but no activity was reported
BREAK
12.20am-1.00am Ground Floor Library
Bex solo vigil in master bedroom
A seance and ouija board session commenced in the library, while Bex was chosen to go it alone in the master bedroom, where most of the reported activity had been coming from.
Bex reported some unexplained noises and heavy emotional feelings, which maybe explained as nerves as this was her first investigation. On reflection however, when another member of the team was sent up to the same room by themselves, they also heard similar noises
Meanwhile in the library, not a lot of success had been gathered by our seance, so a ouija session was performed in the hope of raising some activity. Various possible names came up in the reading, but after further research nothing seemed to be connected to the building or its history.
In the final few hours most of the investigation team spent a lot of time in the library attempting further experiments, but sadly to no avail. Teams also broke off to investigate the rooms on the 3rd floor. But apart from a damp patch on the floor, which was probably caused by dampness in the building, no further activity was reported for the rest of the night
3.30am INVESTIGATION ENDED.
Conclusion
An extremely quiet night at Cleeve House, however it did not take way our enjoyment of a truly fantastic building. All noises and feelings in my view could be explained by natural means, and i am of the opinion that Cleeve House is not haunted. We would like to thank the hospitality of the staff at Cleeve House, who did a tremendous job looking after us.
Verdict :Possibly Haunted, however not worthy of another investigation.
